Again, unknown gunmen abduct one person in Ekiti

…demand for N5m ransom

Report just reaching Nigerian NewsDirect says a farmer Suyi Bamisaye has been kidnapped by gunmen in Ikole area of Ekiti State.

This was confirmed to Nigerian NewsDirect by family members of the victim.

The alleged abduction of Bamisaye is coming barely three days after some guests at a burial ceremony were attacked by gunmen where one person was killed and two persons abducted.

Suyi Bamisaye was said to have gone to farm located at Okejebu, in Ikole but did not return.

According to a family members at about 6pm when they waited and didn’t see him, they started calling his lines to reach out but no response until around 8pm when a call came in to demand for five million Naira ransom.

The family pleaded with security agents and relevant authorities to assist in rescuing the victim.

All efforts by our reporter to speak with the Ekiti State Police Command proved abortive as the spokesman could not be reached as at the time of filling this reports.
