MultiChoice Nigeria has once again announced a price increase for its DStv and GOtv subscription packages, just months after the last adjustment.
The pay-TV giant attributes the latest hike to rising operational costs, inflation, and the depreciation of the naira.
According to a statement released by MultiChoice, the new tariffs will take effect from March 1, 2025, affecting all DStv and GOtv packages.
This marks yet another increment within a short period, sparking concerns among subscribers already struggling with high living costs.

MultiChoice explained that while the price increase was unavoidable, the company remains committed to providing quality entertainment.
“We understand the economic challenges our customers face, but this adjustment is necessary to maintain the quality of our services,” the company said.
However, the latest hike has been met with frustration by many Nigerian subscribers, with some threatening to boycott the service or switch to alternative streaming platforms.
Consumer advocacy groups have also criticised the move, calling on regulatory authorities like the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) to intervene and ensure fair pricing for pay-TV services in Nigeria.
Subscribers are advised to visit MultiChoice’s official website or customer service centers for further inquiries on the new pricing structure.
