Again, hoodlums attack Ondo PDP Councillorship candidate, vandalise property

The residence of Alabi Victor Olawumi, the Councillorship  Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state, has been vandalised by some hoodlums suspected to be political thugs.

According to information made available to Nigerian NewsDirect, these hoodlums suspected to be political thugs launched the attack on Olawumi and vandalised his properties worth millions of naira.

Recall that few days ago, it was reported that some hoodlums suspected to be political thugs of the opposition parties, attacked Alabi Victor Olawumi, the Councillorship Candidate of the PDP in Ondo state and sustained serious injuries on his body during the attack.

Olawumi, who said he was shocked and worried again over the attack, however, described the act as “wicked and uncalled for.”

“This act is evil, shocking and uncalled for. This is not how politics is played in a democratic country like ours,” he said.

“This evil and wicked act is aimed at killing me, but God saved me. They thought they will meet me when they came again, but fortunately for me and unfortunately for them I wasn’t at home and these people vandalised my properties.

However, he appealed to security operatives to investigate the heinous act and ensure the perpetrators were brought to book.

“I want to call on the security agencies again to please come to my aide. My life is at risk, the aim of these hoodlums is to kill me but I still thank God that they did not meet me at home when they came,” he said.
