Afromedia Plc has notified its esteemed shareholders and other stakeholders that the Company’s Audited Financial Statements (AFS) for the year ended December 31, 2020 (2020 AFS), could not be filed within the regulatory filing due date of March 31, 2021, set by The Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Company Secretary, Afromedia Lexworth Legal Partners, in a statement on Thursday said, “The Company is however in the process of finalising the 2020 AFS for onward transmission to The Exchange.
“Regrettably, the Management of Afromedia has undergone recent internal restructuring and changes in Board composition which have caused delays in the finalisation of the 2020 AFS and the holding of a duly constituted Board meeting for its approval.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience that this delay may occasion to The Nigerian Stock Exchange, our esteemed shareholders and the investing public at large.
“Please be assured that the Company’s Management is working assiduously to ensure the 2020 AFS are finalised without further delay and will ensure that the said accounts are filed with The Exchange on or before the 30th of April 2021.”
