AFNIS 2024 to focus on economic prosperity, climate change, revenue generation, others

The Hon. Minister of Solid Minerals Dr. Henry Dele Alake has disclosed that the African Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS) 2024 edition will showcase economic prosperity, climate change, internal revenue generation (IGR) among others.

Information made available to NewsDirect in a release from AFNIS stated that the 3rd edition will commences on July 16th to 18th  in Abuja.

The statement captured highlights of the programme as exposing the participants towards achieving economic prosperity and climate change which discussions will centre on how sustainable economic growth is essential in tackling climate change.

In terms of revenue generation, the event laid emphasis on the importance of utilising Africa’s natural resources for greater internal revenue generation, strategies for using extractive industries to uplift economic wealth in communities, thereby creating a market for the energy sector and closing the power gap.

“Other highlights of the event will include exploring cross-industry collaboration to pool investments for critical infrastructure development, examining how fossil fuel revenue can be effectively utilised to support investments in the long term capital projects and featuring a deal-making platform powered by i-MINE to allow organizations present investment proposals to accredited investors and financiers.
