The Super Eagles claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Libya in a MatchDay 3 fixture on Friday.
The game was played at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored the only goal of the game in the dying moments.
The result means Nigeria now have seven points, one more than Benin Republic, who hammered Rwanda 3-0 in an earlier match.
Augustine Eguavoen’s men will travel to face the Mediterranean Knights in three days.
