AFCON 2021: Nigeria coach, Eguavoen lists three attributes of Guinea-Bissau
Nigeria interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has listed three attributes of Guinea-Bissau ahead of both teams’ clash at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Eguavoen said that the Guinea-Bissau team are strong, good in possession and swarm on opponents like bees.
Eguavoen’s men will clash with Guinea-Bissau in their final Group D fixture on Wednesday night at Roumdé Adjia Stadium in Garoua, Cameroon.
The Super Eagles head to the game after beating Sudan 3-1 in their previous AFCON tie, while Guinea-Bissau lost 1-0 against Egypt.
“They are strong, good in possession and swarm on opponents like bees. We have studied them and will take care of them,” Eguavoen said at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
“However, I have always told my players that everyone would have his turn to play. What I expect of them is that they should always be ready whenever they are called upon.”
The kick-off time for Guinea-Bissau vs Nigeria is 8 pm.
