Watford forward, Dennis Emmanuel, has wished Nigeria success at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, which begins this weekend.
The former Club Brugge player was included in the 28-man squad for the tournament.
However, he will not be part of the Super Eagles team in Cameroon, as he opted to stay back to help his Premier League side, who sit just above relegation places.
Dennis wrote on his Twitter page: “Wishing the Super Eagles of Nigeria success in the upcoming competition – The African Cup Of Nations (AFCON). #SoarSuperEagles #LetsGoNigeria”.
The Nigeria squad is already in Cameroon ahead of their opening game against Egypt.
The Augustine Eguavoen-led side will take on the seven-time champions on Tuesday, as they begin their quest for a fourth AFCON title.
