The Management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (AEFUTHA) has decried the fraudulent activities of people going about defrauding the unsuspecting members of the public of money in the name of securing appointment for them in the institution.
In a statement signed by the Director of Administration, Mr Calistus Okonkwo on behalf of the Management, he lamented that the fraudsters front the name of the Chief Medical Director, Dr Emeka Onwe Ogah as his agent.
Mr Okonkwo urged the general Public to disregard fraudsters, stressing that there is no job recruitment going on at AEFUTHA let alone asking people to bring money and that recruitment is always advertised in National Dailies.
He warned members of the public in their own interest never fall prey to what he described as those wolves as they may be taking a risk that they alone will be liable to.
The Director maintained that the Management should not be in a position to discuss any matter concerning giving out of money to anyone noting that they never asked anybody to collect money on behalf of the CMD or any other member of the top Management. Please be warned.
“It has come to the notice of Management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (AEFUTHA), that some unscrupulous elements are going about defrauding the unsuspecting members of the public of money in the name of securing appointment for them in the institution.
“The worst of all, is that they front the name of the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Hospital, Dr. Emeka Onwe Ogah, as his agent.
“The Management is by this notice alerting the general Public that there is no job recruitment going on at AEFUTHA much more asking people to bring money, as recruitment is always advertised in National Dailies.
“The general public is therefore warned in their own interest never fall prey to those wolves as they may be taking a risk that they alone will be liable to.
“The Management also shall not be in a position to discuss any matter concerning giving out of money to anyone, as they never asked anybody to collect money on behalf of the CMD or any other member of the top Management. Please be warned,” he concluded.
