Adio to deliver paper on role of writers/commentators in sports development

Retired sports journalist Hammed Adio is one of those expected to deliver papers at a seminar being organised by the Kwara Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).

Olayinka Owolewa, the Secretary of Kwara SWAN, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday said the seminar is scheduled for Friday in Ilorin.

“The seminar has the theme `The role of Sports Writers/Commentators in Sports Development’ and is designed by the chapter’s Education Committee to widen members’ scope of knowledge,” he said.

The statement also quoted the Chairman of the Education Committee, Bayour Issah, explaining the need for the seminar slated for the Conference Room of the Sports Council in Ilorin.

“The need to update members’ knowledge on what is required of them on the field is responsible for the call for the seminar.

“Also, Adio was chosen for the seminar because of his vast experience in journalism, spanning many years tied with plenty success stories,” he said
