Adebutu’s PDP factional group adopts APM governorship candidate

Factional group of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to Hon Ladipupo Adebutu on Thursday after an exhaustive meeting held at Park Inn, Abeokuta agreed to work for the actualization of Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, governorship candidate of Allied Peoples Movement (APM) as the next governor of Ogun state.
Hon Ladi Adebutu backed by the national leadership of PDP had lost out the battle to fly the governorship flag of the opposition party to Sen. Buruji Kashamu who Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in obedience  to several court judgments recognised as the governorship candidate of the party in the state for this Saturday governorship election.
According to memorandum of understanding signed by the duo of Hon. Ladi Adebutu and the APM governorship candidate, Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade, Hon. Adebutu is to deploy all his machineries to work for the victory of APM at the poll on Saturday.
According to the agreement, the kind gestures of the federal lawmaker currently representing Remo federal constituency would be reciprocated with juicy positions at both the state, local and federal government level.
Some of the offers on the table are 2 Commissioners, 3 Senior Special Assistants, 2 Special Advisers, 5 Special Assistants, Director General of Bureau of Lands or Chairman of OPIC, Chairman of SUBEB or Local Government Service Commission as well as 2 chairmen of local governments in Ogun east and one each from Ogun Central and Ogun West.
Others are construction of 100 Km of community roads, Ilisan/Ago Iwoye road dualisation, Oba Erinwole By pass road, Sagamu, reactivation of Iperu /Ilisan Cargo airport, reactivation of abandoned Olokola Free Trade Zone, among other positions in federal boards and agencies.
The APM governorship candidate, Hon Abdulkabir Akinlade in his brief remark lauded Adebutu for taking such a difficult decision to work for his emergence as the next governor of the state vowing to ensure that all that that are contained in the memorandum of understanding were fulfilled to the letter.
