Access Hold ings, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc and Zenith Bank Plc emerged as the three most traded stocks yesterday.
According to data on the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) website, Access had 504 trades valued at N612,699,517.30.
UBA on the other hand had 419 stock trades valued at N291,321,015.10 whilst Zenith Bank had 356 trades valued at N446,209,576.10.
MTN Nigeria stocks also remained bullish, opening at N228.6 per stock and closing at N240 representing a 1.4 percent increase in price of stock.
The telecommunications giant traded 279 sticks valued at N256,296,609.50.
The NGX All-Share Index advanced by 0.18 percent, closing at 71,669.91 basis points, compared to the previous day’s gain of 0.12 percent, which closed at 71,541.74 basis points. The NGX Market CAP also recorded a gain of N70.14bn in Naira terms.
YTD, the NGXASI stands at 39.84 percent. The total volume traded declined by 25.51 percent to close at N375.32 million, valued at N3.85 billion and traded in 7,011 deals. VERITASKAP was the most traded stock by volume with N88.84 million, while ACCESSCORP was the most traded stock by value with N612.70 million units traded.
The Gate Index closed flat at 183.35, while the Toni index declined by 0.77 percent to close at 382.33 basis points.
At the close of trading, the market recorded 27 gainers, 23 losers, and 68 unchanged. ETI topped the gainers list, while RTBRISCOE topped the list of losers.
