Abuja Fair hub for knowledge sharing, collaboration, networking – ACCI President
… features 500 exhibitors, showcases 10,000 products others

The President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Chief Emeka Obegolu has disclosed that the Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF) is a commercial hub for knowledge sharing, collaboration and networking.
He made the disclosure during the opening session of the 19th AITF in Abuja on Monday.
The President said ” Over the years, the AITF has established itself as a premier multi-sectoral event in Nigeria, growing both in scope and influence. It remains one of the largest trade platforms in Africa, offering domestic and international exhibitors the opportunity to showcase new products, access emerging markets, build business relationships, and gain insights into evolving industry trends.
” As Nigeria’s capital, Abuja offers a unique strategic advantage for hosting this prestigious event. Its central location and accessibility from all parts of the country, combined with a safe and hospitable environment, make it ideal for accommodating both local and international participants.
Speaking on the theme of this year’s fair, “Mobility: Options for Transportation, Trade Financing, and Taxation,” the president stressed that it addresses key drivers of business growth. Mobility has become a critical factor in today’s global economy, influencing trade, finance, and taxation. Efficient transportation options help businesses overcome logistical challenges, streamline supply chains, and reduce operational costs, all of which are essential for driving economic growth.
He said “The Fair is designed to serve as a hub for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and networking. By bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts, we aim to chart a path toward a more innovative, efficient, and sustainable future in mobility while also addressing critical issues such as access to financing and the complexities of taxation.”
According to him the 2024 edition of the AITF will feature over 500 exhibitors from various sectors, showcasing more than 10,000 products, solutions, and services to nearly 100,000 attendees over 12 days.
“This year’s Trade Fair is unique in that we are unveiling our inaugural National Policy Fellows, whose investiture will be conducted shortly. The National Policy Fellows Award recognizes outstanding individuals who have significant contributions to Business and Economic Development in diverse fields of endeavours including Academia, Business and Human Rights, Chamber Movement, Civil Society/Community Development, Improved Public Service Delivery, Industry/SME Development, and Legislative Policy.
Chief Obegolu revealed that the ACCI’s National Policy Fellowships underscore our commitment to fostering a dynamic and thriving economic environment in Nigeria.
