The February 2017 Market Payment details as published by the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc. (NBET), show that the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company Plc. (AEDC) made the highest remittance of 50% of its February Invoice.  In the past three months, the market average had hovered around 30%, however we have begun to see a marginal increase in monthly remittances.

The February 2017 average market remittance by DisCos to NBET stands at 33.29%. We encourage the DisCos to increase efforts in collection and remittance of market revenue as it is the sustainable solution of ensuring steady supply of electricity. The DisCos had committed to working more collaboratively with NBET to reset the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) at an interactive session held on Wednesday 22nd March 2017 at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
