A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr Adeola Sosanwo, has pleaded with the residents of the state to go get their Permanent Voter’s Card otherwise called PVC ahead of 2023 general elections.
Engr Sosanwo who is the Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Security Trust Fund has equally begged those who have not even register to quickly do so before the end of the exercise next week Thursday according to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Timetable for 2023 general elections.
Sosanwo disclosed that Gov. Dapo Abiodun has no doubt justified the mandate given him in the last three years with his sense of purposeful governance and qualitative leadership and therefore deserved to be rewarded with another term of four years come 2023.
He explained further that, “I have no iota of doubt in my mind that the residents of the state want the good governance and silent revolution that we have been witnessing in the state in the last three years to continue beyond 2023.”
“The Governor has really not neglected any of the critical sectors despite the paucity of funds. Be it roads, housing, agriculture, education, health, security, job creations among others, he has his visible footprints in all of these. I should also not forget to mention the ongoing Agro-Cargo Airport scheduled for commissioning by December
“However, if we must reward the Governor very well for a job that has been excellently done, we must have our PVC because that’s the only instrument with which we shall use to get him back to seat of power at Oke Mosan in 2023. So, if you are shouting Gov. Abiodun for second term and you have neither registered nor obtain your PVC, you have really not done well at all.”
The APC Chieftain has therefore called on those who are 18 years and above but have not registered for their PVC to either go to their wards or local government secretariats between now and June 30, the closing date for the exercise to get registered while those who had also registered should also go and collect their PVC.
