Abiodun, Ortom, Nnamani confirm participation in Nigerian NewsDirect 11th Anniversary Ceremony

Benue State Governor, Samuel Iorraer Ortom will be awarded with 2021 Nigerian NewsDirect award as the “Education Governor of the Year” during the Newspaper’s 11th year anniversary which is slated to hold on Friday 21th January, 2022 at Federal Palace, Victoria Island (VI), Lagos State.
Governor Ortom, in an acceptance thanked the Publisher, management and staff of the Nigerian NewsDirect Newspaper for beaming their search light on his administration, particularly in the Education Sector that found him worthy for such uncommon award and charged them to extend same gesture in other areas.
The letter also indicated that the Governor has directed the Benue State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Saawuan Tarnongu to receive the award on his behalf in Lagos this Friday.
Also, Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun has confirmed participation in the Nigerian NewsDirect 11th Anniversary Lecture & Award Ceremony slated for Friday, January 21, 2022.
Other Awardees include Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Wife of Lagos State Governor Dr (Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa; Registrar General/CEO of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Alhaji Garba Abubakar; Executive Director of Rural Electrification Fund, Dr Sanusi Ohiare; and Ogun State Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser to Ogun Governor, Hon. Dapo Okubadejo.
Nigerian NewsDirect’s decision to honour these awardees as exemplary leaders of the year comes after a detailed evaluation of their giant strides and outstanding achievements in the country.
Previous Anniversary Lectures and Awards Ceremonies witnessed the attendance of top personalities and seasoned stakeholders such as top political functionaries Governors, Heads of Ministeries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and other decision makers in the public sector.
Similarly, top drivers and achievers in the organised private sector annually feature in the ceremony.
The theme of the 11th Anniversary Lecture is, “Public Sector Financing: The Oil Revenue Challenges, Solutions and Prospect.”
The President, Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria(ATCON), President Ikechukwu Nnamani has also confirmed his participation in the Nigerian NewsDirect Anniversary Lecture & Award Ceremony through acceptance letter.
Nnamani is expected to receive “NewsDirect Most Outstanding Telecommunications Stakeholder of the Year Award.”
