Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has felicitated the General Overseer of the Deeper Life Christian Church, Pastor W.F Kumuyi, on his 81st birthday celebration.
Abiodun in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, on Sunday, described the renowned Christian cleric as an epitome of forthrightness and spiritual compass, not only to members of his flock, but many Nigerians across religious divides.
The governor added in the statement that Pastor Kumuyi’s sermons and spiritual healings have helped many people into being steadfast in their belief in the power of God.
He said though the Minister of God, whose sermons always centre on salvation of human souls, has advanced in age, he is still blessed with vigour and vim to lead crusades all over the country.
Abiodun noted Pastor Kumuyi’s prayers and admonitions for Nigerian leaders have helped in several ways in stabilising the nation, pointing out his ministry’s camp along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has also created a sanctuary for the adherents.
While praying for a long life and good health for the General Overseer, the governor expressed his delight that the Christian leader is waxing stronger in the vineyard of God.
Abiodun, who disclosed that the cleric’s preachings have always inspired him, expressed hope that Nigerians will continue to benefit from Pastor Kumuyi’s teachings and prayers for many years to come.
