The Governor who commissioned 2.1Km newly constructed Ijebu Imusin link road to Ijebu-Ode/Benin expressway during the campaign tour, revealed that he had promised to recostruct the impassable road in July 2021 during local government elections campaign held in the town.

Abiodun said that the construction and commissioning of the road which has no doubt boosted the socio-economic development of the local government is a further attestation to the fact that he remains committed to keeping campaign promises.

He explained that just as he had promised to be fair and equitable without developing any part of the state at the expense of others, his government had constructed over 400km of roads while several others are ongoing.

As part of his government commitment to rural development, Gov. Abiodun disclosed that plans are already being fine-tuned to deploy transformers and solar powered light to some communities in the local government, while two graders have also being brought to the council area to help with grading of their roads.

He requested the residents of the council area to vote him for another term as well as all the APC candidates including its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, disclosing that the party will continue to implement projects and programmes that will make life more bearable for the people.

He urged the people to therefore go get their Permanent Voter Cards as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed January 15 as the deadline, adding that they should not forget that without their PVC they would be disenfranchised.

Speaking during the campaign, the Chairman of the local government, Hon Wale Adedayo lauded Gov. Abiodun for keeping faith with his campaign promises, saying that the newly reconstructed road has no doubt enhanced the economic activities of the local government.

Adedayo pleaded with Gov. Abiodun to help with construction of Baga to Yemoji road to link the newly constructed Epe/Ijebu Ode expressway, saying that the road if constructed will further open up the local government for greater development.
