Abiodun, AbdulRazaq commission Siun-Owode road
Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his Kwara State counterpart, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq commissioned the Siun-Owode road in Obafemi-Owode Local Government yesterday.
Prince Abiodun had earlier last year described the road as not only critical to the economy of the local government area but that of the state as a whole.
The road, the governor maintained, was an indication that his administration is forward-looking and determined to ensure that no road that needs attention is left without being attended to.
He said, “This road is one of the roads we identified as critical to the economy of the state. It leads to the capital of one of the biggest local government areas in our state.”
“When completed, it will save the people coming from the state capital to Owode the trouble of going through the Interchange. The road is about six kilometres and has been in a state of disrepair for more than 16 years.”
The commissioning was attended by the Deputy Governor of the state, Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele, traditional rulers, the Senator representing Ogun central, APC stakeholders, amongst others.
