… Says Tinubu is Nigeria’s next president

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State and former Senator that represented Rivers South East at the National Assembly, Barr Magnus Abe has vowed to contest the 2023 gubernatorial election in the State, urging his supporters to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs) ready.
Abe stated this Sunday at Bera Community in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State while reassuring his teeming supporters of his readiness to become the next governor of the State in 2023.
He however did not say under which platform he wants to actualise his political ambition,considering the fact that his party, APC has concluded its primaries for the 2023 general elections.
“I thank God for everything. When God speaks,every other god will be silent. I have said it before and I will say it again, that I, Magnus Ngei Abe will be on the ballot in 2023. It is the decision of the people to choose who governs them.
“As a senator I did my best for my Senatorial District, it is only the popular candidate that will win the election. If elected governor, I will provide the best administration.
“I have the capacity and I am qualified to rule Rivers State. If you want a change in Rivers State, be ready to vote for the ideal person. I am the right person. I therefore challenge you to make the right choice,” Abe said.
He said they have concluded arrangement to start a movement in Rivers State that will bar anybody from imposing candidate on the State.
The governorship hopeful used the opportunity to congratulate, the Presidential candidate of APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tiinubu on his victory at the recently concluded APC presidential primary election in Abuja.
He described Tinubu as a wealth creator, which he said endeared him to victory.
“Nobody contributed more than Tiinubu in APC and beyond. The next President of Nigeria is Asiwaju Ahmed Tiinubu,the Jagaban of Africa. He created wealth more than anybody. If we have more people like him, Nigeria will be better off,” Abe said.
He equally commended the runners up of the APC Presidential election and former governor of Rivers State, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and other Rivers sons for putting up a gallant fight.
He noted that they might be disappointed but not aggrieved.
According to him, this is because the exercise was free and fair.
Earlier in his remarks, a stalwart of APC, Hon Golden Chioma who said the event was just to thank the people for their support so far.
Je re-echoed the need for all the electorate to collect their PVCs, stressing that the only way to effect positive change is to vote in the 2023 general elections.
“Go to your ward and register so that you can get your PVC to elect a governor of your choice. We need good life, road and health,
