Three Chinese expatriates abducted by unknown mining labourers in Osun State have regained their freedom.

The expatriates were reportedly abducted last Monday at Akere Village in Ifewara after a disagreement with their labourers at the mining site.

The labourers were said to have contacted families of the victims and demanded a sum of N500 million.

As at the time of this report, it was not clear how the expatriates regained freedom on Monday.

The Osun Police Spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the release of the three expatriates said, “We have rescued the three Chinese expatriates abducted in Ifewara.”
