AA National Chairman promises to reposition party ahead of 2023

The National Chairman of Action Alliance (AA), Mr Kenneth Udeze has promised to reposition the party towards making impact at the 2023 poll.

Udeze said this shortly during the inauguration of the new executives of the party in Abuja on Tuesday.

He assured party members that he would deliver on his mandate and responsibilities.

Udeze, however, called for peace and unity, to enable the party to make the necessary impacts in future elections.

“I promise to do my best to continue to deserve this confidence and trust that you have so resoundingly reposed in me today, I will not disappoint you.

“But first, I urge us all to strive to revive the peace and unity of the party because Nigerian politics most often is filled with drama, not only in the Action Alliance, but we must do all to retain our peace.

“We will constitute a 12-man reconciliation committee who shall commence reconciling aggrieved members in our party’s hierarchy.

“My vision for AA and the entire nation is to have our people more united and peaceful, foster greater love among ourselves and unprecedented prosperity through hard work and every other means legally possible.

“The party must be restored back to the intent of our founding fathers in the philosophy of no turning back and no going back,” he said.

Udeze said he would be running the party based on his five-points agenda, which cut across all spheres including pursuit of peace and unity through genuine reconciliation.

“Others are: security and consolidation of our place in the politics of Nigeria, building database for our members throughout the federation, provision of scholarship schemes and small scale ventures initiatives.

“Youths empowerment through sports, talent hunt, skill acquisition and modem agriculture practices,” he said.

Udeze said that the party under his leadership secured not less than 10 legislative seats at the 2019 general elections.

He said that the party has targeted no fewer than five state governors seats in the 2023 poll.

“The party is considering an alliance with a credible candidate in Nov. 6 Anambra governorship poll.”

Udeze said the party would commence data collection of its ward executives and members in each polling unit across the country, for documentation.

“Thereafter, we shall go after mass mobilisation because we are the masses’ party and the concept behind the exercise is to help us connect with the masses on information gathering and sharing on opportunities, assistance and collective emancipation of the nation.

“We are also making arrangements to set up foreign chapters of our party, anchoring the leadership on individuals who are known as rallying points in these foreign nations.

“We will also engage with our various media platforms to give our vision the required attention and projection in the media and public space,” he said
