Family of three members shot dead in Abeokuta, Ogun state

There was pandemonium in the odunlami Street somorin Abeokuta, Ogun state on Tuesday, 28th of November 2023, when some unknown assailants stormed no. 20 odunlami street in the dead of the night and shot dead three members of the same family.

It was gathered that the assailants numbering about four stormed the area in a black Toyota Hilux car with no registration number around 1:00 am of the 28th November 2023, and shot dead three People in their sleep after forcing their way into the lone-in-a-compound.

The incident, according to residents of the area and family sources, was said to be connected to the political agenda of one Hon. Akeem Babatunde Owolabi, who is a son of the deceased, was said to have passed a night in the said apartment a few days earlier before the attack.

The deceased names include Hon. Fatai Atanda, Mrs. musiliat, and Mr. Ramon Owolabi, all of whom are from the same family.

The mysterious incident has left residents around the area bewildered as to the callous nature of the killings.

The alledged target, Hon. Akeem Babatunde Owolabi has since gone into hiding, and his whereabout is still unknown. He was reached on phone the day of the incident when he acknowledged the incident and confirmed that he was the target of the assailants, but efforts to reach him afterwards proved abortive as all his lines has remained switched off

The police has however assured that the culprits will be brought to book even as they appeal to the general public to be cooperative in their search of the culprits.
