Christmas: Gas Minister urges Christians to embrace love, forgiveness

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, has urged Christians to embrace love and forgiveness during this year’s Christmas celebrations.

In a message issued on Tuesday, Ekpo encouraged Christians to reflect on the profound significance of God’s greatest gift to humanity—the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Gas Minister further urged Christians to remember that the true essence of Christmas lies in the values of forgiveness, compassion, love, and redemption that Jesus embodied.

“As we gather with our loved ones to celebrate the birth of our Saviour, let us also remember to pray for our country and its leadership at all levels, beginning with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, seeking divine guidance and wisdom to navigate our nation’s challenges,” Ekpo said.

He concluded, “Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 2025, filled with joy, peace, and abundant blessings.”
