Sanwo-Olu to host 18th annual town hall meeting on security Dec 18

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will next week host the 18th edition of the highly anticipated Lagos State Town Hall Meeting on security. state.

The event, set to take place at the Lagos House, Ikeja, on December 18, 2024, is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including security agencies, policymakers, and community leaders.

This year’s theme, “Data & Technology Driven Security: The Way Forward.”

These measures are part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance safety and security across Lagos, a state that has long been a hub of economic and social activity.

According to a statement issued by Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, other key events during the meeting will include a performance review by the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Rasaq Balogun.

“The Security Trust Fund was established in 2007 to combat violent crimes, especially bank robberies, to the credit of the Trust Fund, there has been no incident of bank robbery in the State in the last five years,” the statement read partly.
