Man escapes lynching over homosexuality

A young Nigerian man, Oyelekan Wasiu Ayinde has escaped being lynched at a night club in Osogbo, Osun state over allegations of homosexuality. His alleged partner in the immoral relationship, Adetoyi Adekunle Wasiu, was not so lucky as he was beaten to within an inch of his life and subsequently handed over to the police.

During interrogation, Adetoyi led the police to Oyelekan’s house at Soka in Ibadan, Oyo State, but he was not found. Police detectives visited his office and homes of friends and associates and even his family members all in a bid to get him arrested, but their efforts were all to no avail.

Investigations carried out by our reporters revealed that since the night of the arrest on 15th August, 2022, Oyelekan has not been seen by any of his friends, neighbours or family members. He seems to have disappeared as his belongings remain intact in his residence.

Meanwhile, the police and the local anti-homosexual vigilante group are out to apprehend him as soon as he is found.
