62 graduate with first class as AAUA celebrates 13th convocation

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), in Ondo State, is set to award degrees to 6,837 students, including 62 first-class graduates, in its upcoming 13th convocation ceremony.

Professor Olugbemiga Ige, the Vice Chancellor of the university, revealed this during a press conference on Monday, where he highlighted that the ceremony would honor graduates from both the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic sessions.

“Out of the total 6,837 graduates, 657 are postgraduate students, including 46 who earned their Ph.D. degrees,” Professor Ige announced.

He also praised the academic excellence of the university, noting that 62 of the undergraduate graduates had earned first-class honors, underscoring the institution’s commitment to excellence.

Professor Ige expressed hope for the future of the institution, stating that it would continue to prioritise academic quality while overcoming funding hurdles.
