ACT Foundation hosts breakfast dialogue to enhance collaborative leadership in Africa

The Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation, known for its commitment to driving sustainable development, is set to host the 8th edition of its highly anticipated Breakfast Dialogue (BFD) on October 10, 2024. The event, which has established itself as a leading platform for fostering dialogue among thought leaders, will focus on the theme “Collaborative Leadership: Bridging Sectors for Sustainable Development in Africa.”

This year’s BFD embraces multi-sectoral collaboration from the traditional leadership approaches. Leaders from various industries, including business, government, and civil society, will come together to explore how unified efforts can address the continent’s development needs. The dialogue aims to dissect the role of collaborative leadership in creating long-term, sustainable development.

The emphasis on collective leadership according to the CEO, Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation, Osayi Alile,  portends that no single sector can adequately address the complexity of Africa’s challenges.

In his words, “No single entity, be it government, private sector, or even a well-funded nonprofit, can tackle the challenges in Africa. It is in the collective power of partnerships, collaboration, and platforms that we unlock the true potential for building a sustainable world.”

With a keynote address from Co-Chief Executive Officer of The Palladium Group, Ricardo Michel, the event will offer deep insights into the intricacies of collaborative leadership, and its transformative impact on sustainable development.

A notable panel of speakers, including the Equitable Philanthropy Advisor, Susan Davis, Chairperson, Nigeria Office for Philanthropy, Thelma Ekiyor-Solanke, and the East Africa Regional Director, Vincent Otieno Odhiambo, will share best practices on how different sectors can engage more effectively to drive change.

Another key feature of the day will be the announcement of the finalists and winners of the 2024 ACT Foundation Changemakers Innovation Challenge. This competition rewards them with grant funding and technical support, enabling them to scale their projects and contribute to Africa’s development agenda.

Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation’s Breakfast Dialogue represents more than just a gathering of leaders; it is an embodiment of Africa’s collective ambition to build sustainable communities through unity and innovative leadership.

Its a grant-making non-profit organisation committed to supporting local and regional NGOs in addressing Africa’s most pressing challenges.
