Lagos to conduct 2024 Trade Test for artisans Oct 15

The Lagos State Government has announced the dates for the Year 2024 Trade Test for artisans, scheduled for October 15 and 17, 2024.

In a statement on Thursday by Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, the initial schedule for the test remains unchanged.

The theoretical component will be held on October 15 at two designated centers: Government Technical College in Odomola, Epe, and Government Junior College in Agege.

Artisans from Epe, Ikorodu, and Ibeju Lekki Local Government Areas will take the theoretical test at Government Technical College, Odomola, while those from Agege, Ifako Ijaiye, Alimosho, Amuwo-Odofin, and Ikeja will sit for the exam at Government Junior College, Agege.

The practical aspect of the test is set for October 17, 2024, at various locations across the state, including the Lagos State Examinations Board in Agege, the Lagos State Waterways Authority at Falomo Jetty in Ikoyi, and Government Technical College in Ikotun.

Other venues include the Skills Acquisition Centre in Egbeda, the Grano Institute at Orimolade in Ifako Ijaiye, De Food Institute at Seliat Bus Stop in Abule Odu, Idimu, and Government Technical College in Odomola, Epe.

Mr. Orunsolu urged all candidates to note the dates, emphasizing that participation in both components of the test is crucial for determining overall performance.

He also highlighted the importance of the Trade Test in enhancing the value of artisan certificates in the state, with approximately 350 registered artisans expected to participate.
