Ajaero leaves police headquarters

Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has departed from the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) headquarters in Abuja. Ajaero arrived at the facility precisely at 10:17 a.m. and left around 11:15 a.m. after submitting his statement.

Although Ajaero did not engage with the media while at the IRT headquarters, he indicated that he would address journalists at the NLC headquarters later.

The police had previously summoned Ajaero to the IRT headquarters on August 20 at 10 a.m. to respond to allegations involving terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony. Ajaero, who was unable to attend on the scheduled date, had assured he would comply with the invitation today.

Accompanying Ajaero were his legal counsel, Femi Falana, SAN, along with Marshal Abubakar, Deji Adeyanju, and other senior NLC officials.
