Nigeria appoints Bruno Labbadia as new head coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of Bruno Labbadia as the new head coach of the Super Eagles. The federation revealed the decision in an early morning tweet on Tuesday via its X account, #thenff.

According to the statement, the NFF has finalized an agreement with German coach Bruno Labbadia to lead Nigeria’s senior men’s national team. Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF General Secretary, confirmed that the Executive Committee approved the Technical and Development sub-committee’s recommendation to appoint Labbadia.

Labbadia takes over as the 37th head coach of the Super Eagles, succeeding Finidi George, and ends months of speculation about the coaching position.
