Osun Amotekun arrest three men for allegedly stealing

Operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested three men, Sodiq Oyedokun (21), Ojoko Ayomiposi (21), and Busari Ayomide (24), for allegedly stealing Spare Parts of vehicles in Ode-Omu, Ayedaade, Osun State.

The suspects were arrested on Wednesday at the point of selling the said stolen items to one Mallam, who specializing in scavenging business.

According to a statement signed by the Amotekun Public Relations Officer Yusuf Idowu said the scavenger refused to buy the stolen items and he alerted the Amotekun operatives who sprung into action immediately and apprehended the suspects on the spot.

The suspects confessed to the stealing of the items at a mechanic workshop in Akure, Ondo State and ran to Ode-Omu to sell them before luck ran against them.

The Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr.Adekunle I Omoyele, according to the statement, asserted that Amotekun Operatives arrested the suspects who attempted to sell stolen items to a Mallam in Ode-Omu. The suspects had stolen the items from a mechanic’s workshop in Akure, Ondo State, and were caught after the Mallam alerted the Amotekun operatives.

During preliminary investigation, “The suspects confessed of stolen the items at a mechanic workshop owns by one Mr. Victor in Akure, Ondo State and ran to Ode-Omu in Osun State to sell the stolen items before luck ran against the felons,” Omoyele said.

The suspects have been transferred to the Amotekun Ondo State Command for further investigation and prosecution.
