Support Globacom, avoid creating rival companies — Primate Ayodele tells Tinubu

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele On Saturday presented the 30th edition of his annual prophecy book, ‘Warnings To The Nations,’ in Lagos.

During the event, he advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to increase support for Globacom, Nigeria’s only indigenous telecommunication company, and prevent the creation of rival companies.

“‘Let the government support indigenous telecommunication companies because they will create more employment. We don’t need so much to avoid rivalry.

“We shouldn’t bring up any other indigenous telecommunication apart from Glo, we should put resources together to support this one we have,” Primate Ayodele said.

“Glo has come to stay and has the capacity to create an economic boom for President Tinubu’s administration.

“Let’s support our own instead of creating unnecessary rivalry that will lead to calamity for the country.”

Meanwhile, Primate Ayodele also warned that President Tinubu is not the messiah Nigeria needs, and his administration will not bring significant economic improvements.

He also predicted challenges for Tinubu’s re-election bid and warned against the establishment of state police, citing potential misuse by politicians.

“Tinubu is not Nigeria’s messiah but only came to do one or two things, and what he came to do is to strengthen our democracy.

“Nothing much in the economy, we are still going to experience more hardship till 2025 and confusion in our economy,” Primate Ayodele said.

“State police will not help our nation, it will even add to the troubles of insecurity, and as a matter of fact, some politicians will use it as a weapon to cause disorderliness in our security.”

“Tinubu will have a very tough and challenging time going for a second term. There will be so much pressure on him and he needs to look after his health,” he added.
