Lagos govt confiscates banned styrofoam products in Mushin market
The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) has seized a large quantity of banned styrofoam products at Ojuwoye Market in Mushin, in a move to enforce the state’s environmental laws.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the confiscated products have been taken to the KAI office in Oshodi for incineration.
“The owner brought in the banned styrofoam to market in the early hours of today. The products have been confiscated and taken to the KAI office in Oshodi for incineration,” the statement reads partly.
