Alia lauds Benue assembly for outstanding performance

Benue state Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has commended the performance of the 10th Benue state House of Assembly under the leadership of Hon. Aondona Dajoh as the Speaker for quality legislation within one year in office.
Governor Alia also attested to the cordial working relationship that has existed between the executive and the legislative arms which an enabling environment has been created for his admin to execute legacy projects that would stand the taste of time.
Alia gave the commendation while addressing mammoth crowd at the 48th birthday and one year in office cerebration in honour of the Speaker of the Benue State House of assembly at LGEA Pilot Primary school Akpagher Mbatiav, Gboko local government area of the state.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Barrister Sam Ode mni, promised not to disappoint the confidence reposed in them by the Benue electorates as recorded by the overwhelming votes they gave them during the 2023 governorship polls.
“The uncommon victory we got during the 2023 governorship election can never be overemphasized, the overwhelming governorship results is the first of its kind in the state since the return of Democracy. It will not go in vain, we will not disappoint you but we will ensure to implement policies and programs that would have direct bearing on your lives and Benue generation yet unborn,” Alia said.
He described the Speaker as a bridge builder and a committed legislature who has been able to stabilized the assembly within one year without acrimony as well been able to established mutual relationship with Speakers of other states of the federation as manifested in their massive turnup to his birthday cerebration in the state.
