Cult clash: One beheaded, two killed in Ogun

One person simply identified as Seun, an alleged member of the Eiye confraternity, has been killed and beheaded during a cult clash in the Ijoko area of Ogun State.

According to reports, Seun, a fuel attendant at a filling station in Alaroro, Ijoko, was killed in a reprisal attack. He was decapitated, with his head hung on the Ijoko bridge.

DAILY POST gathered that the clash began last Friday when a suspected Aye leader, simply identified as Adisa, was killed.

Adisa was reportedly killed and his hand chopped off by a rival group.

It was also gathered that in retaliation, members of the Aye shot and killed two members of the Eiye cult group.

An anonymous source said, “On Friday, Adisa, the Aye leader that was killed and his hand cut off.

“But in retaliation, members of Aye returned yesterday (Saturday) around 6pm and killed two Eiye members in a very brutal manner.

“They allegedly beheaded an Eiye member identified as Seun, a fuel attendant at Alaroro in ljoko.

“The attackers specifically targeted Seun, shooting him first and causing everyone nearby to flee. They then finished him off and beheaded him.

“The Ayes left only Seun’s head at the scene, taking his body with them. The streets of Ijoko are now deserted, with residents living in fear. Increased police presence is urgently needed.”

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, stated that she was not aware of the incident.

“I don’t have the information sir. If such happened, the DPO Ijoko Ota would have informed us,” Odutola said.
