Information management critical to success of Decade of Gas initiative

The Decade of Gas Secretariat has identified information management as a critical pillar to the success of the Decade of Gas initiative.
Speaking at a one day workshop organised for journalists, representatives of the Secretariat emphasised the importance of the press in realising the goals of the decade of gas.
The Secretariat noted that members of the press are critical in information management to promote the gas brand in Nigeria to investors.
It noted further that the workshop was organised to improve the quality of reportage of journalists on the gas sector and deepen the understanding of the sector.
The workshop took the journalists through a series of topics in understanding the gas value chain and the objectives of the Decade of Gas.
Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary of the Association of Local distributors of Gas Ltd (ALDG), Ogagbano Adejo-Ogiri has decried the neglect of investments in non-associated gas.
Ogagbano highlighted that the non-associated gas components are also critical to improving economy value and can boost the targets of the Decade of Gas initiative.
The ALDG Executive Secretary explained to the Journalists the natural gas value chain and gave a defence on the affordable price of using gas as fuel compared to other energy sources.
