The Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest of about 428 suspects from different black spots across the state. The information was made public by the State Police Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Monday.
The suspects were rounded up at different black spots across the state at about 11:15 AM. The locations include Oshodi, Fagba, Alausa, Dopemu, Orile, Mile 2, Ijora Badia amongst others.
SP Hundeyin reiterated that during the course of screening, those found not culpable were released, while those found guilty would be charged to court.
He said that the operations which led to the arrests were carried out by area commands, divisions, and tactical teams, including the Rapid Response Squad were in tune with directives from the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Adegoke Fayoade, to curtail excesses of criminals in the state.
