Alia buries cousin, promises to revive former primary school in Agidi, Benue

Benue state Government under the leadership of Governor Hyacinth Alia is to carry out a comprehensive renovation of RCM primary school Agidi Mbatiav, Gboko local Government area of the State.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Alia made the pledge on Saturday at Tse Ikpanor Magwa, Mbaatse, Mbawav, Mbatiav, Gboko local Government while addressing the people of the area shortly after the burial of his cousin, Juliana Doobee Nyikwagh.
The Governor directed those who have encroached on the land belonging to the primary school to vacate immediately .
Alia recalled his primary school days at the primary school promising to restore the lost glory of all public primary schools in the state and thanked those who have traveled from far and near to identify with him and the family of Nyikwagh over the death of their daughter and prayed to God to bless them .
Speaker Benue state House of Assembly, Mr. Aondona Dajoh, assured the Governor of the 100 percent support of state Assembly to enable him deliver good governance to the people and said the death of Juliana Doobee Nyikwagh was the will of God.
An elder statesman, Senator Barnabas Gemade stated that the emergence of Governor Alia was divine in nature and promised to support his administration at all times.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume represented by professor Bem Angwe said there is nobody to challenge the decision of God who gives and takes life, even as he sued for unity of purpose amongst Tiv people to attract development to Tivland .
Ter Gboko chief, Gabriel Shosum prayed to God to bless protect and grant the Governor the wisdom to continue with the good works he was doing for the people of Benue while the father of the deceased, Mr Bernard Nyikwagh said the family was grateful to God over the death of his daughter because there was need to thank God in all situations.
