Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, who himself started the season at City, was second in the top scorer standings with 22 goals, one ahead of Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

No bad blood with Joshua – Fury
WBC heavy-weight champion Tyson Fury has insisted that there is no bad blood between him and Anthony Joshua and he would be willing to share a meal with him to prove it.
The two boxing titans have spent years rivalling each other building towards a Battle of Britain bout and Joshua revealed he will use Fury’s decade of trash-talking to fuel a spiteful performance over his heavyweight rival.
But Fury has now played down a feud with the British-Nigerian saying, “What, because I called him a sausage? Has he ever said anything bad to me that’s personal, or me to him?
“If he was here now, we’d go for a beer and a jam sandwich, or I’d take him out for fish and chips. I’d take him back to my house to meet my kids and take a picture. What, you think there’s bad blood between two boxers? Behave yourself.”
Joshua once revealed that Fury would randomly call him on the phone and claim he was going to knock him out and Fury has never held back when it comes to aiming a verbal jab at his rival.
And Joshua said on The Jonathan Ross Show, “This is one of my rivals, this is someone I want to compete with one day.
“So everything he says, I’ve got it all stored in the back of my memory and when the fight happens, I’m going to use it as a lot of fuel.”
The 34-year-old is coming off the back of four wins on the bounce, most recently knocking out MMA star Francis Ngannou in March.
Ngannou, 37, dropped Fury in October on his boxing debut only to lose a controversial split-decision.
Fury now prepares for a potential double header against Oleksandr Usyk, 37, starting with their May 18 unification bout and Joshua will be waiting in the wings with the hopes of facing Fury if he prevails with the heavyweight crown.

JUST IN: Liverpool name Arne Slot new coach
Liverpool Football Club has announced that Arne Slot has agreed to become the club’s new head coach.
The club disclosed that Slot will resume duty on January 1 after a work permit.
This was disclosed in a statement on the club’s website on Monday.
“Liverpool Football Club can announce Arne Slot has agreed a deal to become the club’s new head coach, formally taking up the position on June 1, 2024, subject to a work permit.
“The 45-year-old will join the Reds from Feyenoord ahead of the 2024-25 season after a deal was reached with the Eredivisie club for his services,” it read.
Slot will replace Jürgen Klopp at the helm following his decision to step down from the post at the end of the current campaign.
“The Netherlands-born coach will arrive after three highly successful seasons with Feyenoord, during which he led them to the league title in 2023 and was named Eredivisie Manager of the Year on two occasions.
“More recently, he helped the Rotterdam club to victory in the KNVB Cup in April after they defeated NEC Nijmegen 1-0 in the final.
“Before moving to Feyenoord, Slot held the position of AZ Alkmaar head coach, and he had led them to second place in the table, trailing leaders Ajax only on goal difference, when the Dutch season was cancelled due to COVID-19 in 2019-20.
“During his playing career, he operated primarily as a midfielder, turning out for FC Zwolle, NAC Breda, Sparta Rotterdam and PEC Zwolle before hanging up his boots in 2013,” it further read.
He will now soon become the first head coach of Liverpool FC from the Netherlands – with his first pre-season in charge of the squad set to get underway in July.

A draw will be enough for the former World champions to earn a place in the semi-finals.

Haaland wins second premier league golden boot award
Erling Haaland won his second Premier League Golden Boot in as many seasons in England on Sunday as Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1 to win a fourth consecutive title.
The Norwegian striker was absent for two months of the season through injury and struggled to match the heights of his debut campaign at City when he struck 52 times in all competitions, including a Premier League record 36.
The 23-year-old failed to add to his 27 Premier League goals on the final day but still proved decisive in the run-in to help City secure an unprecedented fourth consecutive English top-flight crown.
Haaland scored nine times in his final seven Premier League appearances of the season to help City edge Arsenal to the title by two points.
