Kogi Assembly confirms two Commissioners, 50 Special Advisers
The Kogi State House of Assembly has confirmed two Commissioner nominees and 50 Special Advisers sent to the house by the Governor of the State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The nominees were confirmed on Tuesday during the house plenary in Lokoja.
The house confirmed Dr Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe, (Ijumu) and Atuluku Levi Victor, from Omala State Constituency as Commissioners.
Speaking to journalists shortly after She was confirmed on Tuesday, Dr Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe promised to put in her best in realising the campaign promises of the present administration.
“As the name of my ministry implies innovation, so the first thing to be brought in is innovation. We will review what is on ground. Actually, it is a new ministry, not a strange ministry.
“There has been precedent as it regards the ministry. We will study what is on ground, take our own review, see areas that improvement has to be put in. If there is a need for change, we will change. If there is a need for restructuring we will restructure.
“That is the innovation aspect of it, which will encourage the scientific approach to almost every issue on ground. We will study every problem on ground, then we devise a means of providing a solution for the problem. For us, this is the technology aspect of it. I want to see a Kogi State that other states will be emulating in terms of technological improvement,” she added.
