Governor Adeleke pledges support for new Osun NSCDC commandant in combatting crime

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has assured the new Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun state Command, Dr Akintayo Adaralewa of his support to succeed in fighting crimes in the state.
Adeleke receiving the new NSCDC commandant who was on a courtesy visit said his administration would continue to provide every necessary support to the command so as to improve security of lives and property in the state.
Adeleke enjoined the new NSCDC boss in the state to work in synergy with other sister agencies, saying crime prevention is a joint effort of all security agencies.
He commended the personnel for being professional while discharging their duties.
Speaking, the new state Commandant, Dr Adaralewa explained that the courtesy visit was mainly to familiarise himself with the governor and to seek the support of the state government to succeed in the task ahead.
He noted that Osun state is relatively peaceful, as it is one of the safest states in the country.
However, Commandant Adaralewa vowed to synergise with other security agencies to strengthen security architecture and place it in a better light.
He also promised to deal decisively with illegal miners, while promising to work assiduously in order to put an end to incessant farmers and herders’ crisis in the state.
Commandant Adaralewa also called on members of the public to support NSCDC in the fight against criminal activities by providing necessary and useful information that could nip crime in the bud.
