FAAN enlists undercover operatives to curb Airport extortion

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria is combating extortion by deploying covert personnel across all international airports.

MD, Kabir Yusuf Mohammed underscored the mystery staff’s role in observing and reporting staff activities. This move aims to address the tarnished image of Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

During a sensitisation program on ACI Airport Service Quality Initiative, Mohammed expressed dissatisfaction and warned of disciplinary action this festive season.

He challenged government agency representatives to excel in their duties, emphasising surveillance cameras’ omnipresence.

Mohammed asserted that FAAN will no longer tolerate misconduct, urging airport workers to enhance the country’s reputation through courtesy and respect.

Emphasising inter-agency collaboration, he encouraged synergy to avoid negative perceptions, fostering an open dialogue during the interactive session for constructive suggestions.
