CAC boss re-echoes need for defaulting companies to file annual returns before deadline

The Registrar-General/CEO of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, has reechoed the need for defaulting companies to file annual returns before the December deadline expires to avoid sanctions.

The Registrar-General stated this while receiving in his office an eight-man delegation from the Miners Association of Nigeria led by their president, Dele Ayanleke on a courtesy visit.

He stressed that the CAC had issued a series of public notices, including a recent video appeal, on the need for defaulters to comply with the provisions of the law and file their returns.

Hussaini Ishaq Magaji therefore maintained that no company would be spared the commission’s axe at the end of the deadline.

He thanked the Miners Association, whom he described as family members having come from a mining background, for the congratulatory visit and prayers for a successful stewardship.

Earlier, the President of the Miners Association of Nigeria, Dele Ayanleke, congratulated the CAC boss on his recent appointment and prayed to God to give him wisdom and strength to execute his assignment.

While expressing their readiness to assist the Registrar-General in succeeding, Dele Ayanleke said the association had started sensitising its members to the need to frequently file returns with the CAC.
