BEDC promises improved power supply in Edo, others

The Management of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) on Sunday felicitated electricity consumers in its franchise state of Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti on Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary celebration.

In a statement, its Managing Director, Deolu Ijose, assured of the company’s unrelenting efforts to improve the quality of service to its customers

Ijose who spoke through the Head, Branding and Corporate Communications, Mrs Evelyn Gbiwen, said BEDC would continue to play its part in ensuring steady power supply to its customers all over its franchise states during and after the celebration.

He enjoined customers and the general public to support BEDC by refraining from activities such as energy theft and vandalism, which were not just detrimental to the company but also to the nation as a whole.

“On our part, we are doing our best to get rid of corrupt elements within the system who would prey on unsuspecting customers to enrich themselves.

“We encourage customers to report any act of corruption by any staff to the management of BEDC for appropriate sanctions.

“Our 24 hours call centre numbers are always open with technical personnel available at various offices to resolve any technical complaint,” Ijose said

Ijose, however, admonished Nigerians to remain strong, steadfast and resolute in prayers for Nigeria even as the country celebrates the milestone.
