Ogun lawmakers demand for more infrastructural projects from Gov Abiodun

Members of the Ogun State House of Assembly on Tuesday began the presentation of their inaugural speeches disclosing their plans and programmes for their constituents within the next four years with a member representing Abeokuta North State Constituency, Hon. Babatunde Tella and his Ifo II counterpart, Salami Fatiu, canvassing for more developmental projects in their respective constituencies.

The lawmakers also said that quality representation that would bring about sponsorship of people oriented legislations, effective financial appropriation with focus on facilitation of democratic dividends to the people would remain their priority.

According to them, special attention would be accorded the passage of legislations that would address critical issues of qualitative development including human resource empowerment, affordable health care service, agricultural revolution, rural development, curbing cyber crimes, environmental protection, industrial development, promotion of trade and commerce as well as good road network amongst others.

They noted their oversight functions would be geared towards even distribution of resources, promotion of accountability and transparency to create value for government resources by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government amongst others.

Also, the lawmakers commiserated the people of Gbagura Kingdom on the demise of the late Agura of Gbagura, Oba Sabur Babajide Bakre and in memory of the Ogun Central Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Chief Fohun Abiola, as the Assemblymen observed a minute silence in their honour.

They described the deceased monarch and the party stalwart as worthy monarch and community leader who left their indelible marks on the sand of time through their individual contributions to the development of the society.
