Three arrested for burgling gas Company in Ogun

The So-Safe Corps in Ogun State has apprehended three men said to be members of a robbery syndicate “who specialize in burgling warehouses.”

The So-Safe Commander, Soji Ganzallo, said that officers of the corps at Igere Post, during a routine patrol at about 11:45 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2023, accosted the men, who he said, burgled one Power Gas Company, Igere, Opic Estate, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

In a statement by the corps Spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, Ganzalo identified the three suspects as 40-year-old Amachi John, a resident of 5, Imode Isibiri, Ijanikin, Lagos; 41-year-old Moses Lazarus, living at 3, Jacob Street, Check Point, Badagry Expressway, Lagos; and Chidi Peter, 27, a resident of Igere Ihunsa Community, Opic Estate, where the company is situated.

Ganzallo said the suspects were caught after they had successfully burgled the said company, stating that efforts are ongoing to arrest others at large.

One cabin lorry marked SMK334XD, with an inscription, ‘Chijioke’, on the front, assorted iron fibres, one aluminum door, and some iron pipes were reportedly recovered from the suspects.

Ganzallo said the suspects and the items recovered had been transferred to the police in Agbara Area Command for further investigation and likely prosecution.
