EPL: Haaland’ll not get into Man United’s treble winning team – Dwight Yorke
Former Manchester United striker, Dwight Yorke, has controversially claimed that Manchester City attacker Erling Haaland would not get into the Red Devils’ iconic 1998/1999 treble-winning team.
Haaland has enjoyed a record-breaking start to life at Man City since arriving from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
The 22-year-old has scored 52 goals in just 51 appearances across competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Norway international also broke the record for the single most goals in a Premier League season and finished as the top scorer with 36 goals.
But Yorke feels only one Manchester City player would get into Man United’s heroic 1998/1999 side – Kevin De Bruyne.
“One. And he might not even get into the team, he might just be on the bench: Kevin De Bruyne,” Yorke told the Daily Star.
“I like Haaland. I think he is great. I think he is for everything. I have always raved about him.”
