2023 polls: Oyenuga-led coalition of Ijebu youths, students congratulates Omo Iwa, OGD, Adegbesan

..rallies support for Gov Abiodun’s second term bid

The Coordinator of Coalition of Ijebu Youths and Students, Comr. Olufemi Oyenuga has sent his congratulatory message to Barr. Olufemi Ogunbanwo fondly called Omo Iwa over his victory during last Saturday presidential polls when he emerged as the House of Representatives members elected to represent Ijebu Central Federal constituency.

The federal constituency consists of Ijebu Ode, Odogbolu and Ijebu North-East local governments.

Comr Oyenuga fondly called Valentino and pioneer President of Students’ Union Government of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu Igbo disclosed that, the success of the immediate past Ogun State Commissioner for Special Duties at the poll was not a surprise having been a politician who is deeply committed to improving lots of the people at the grassroots.

Oyenuga in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta, the state capital on Wednesday, also congratulated the former governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who emerged as the Senator-elect for Ogun East as well as Hon Joseph Adegbesan who got elected as the House of Representatives member for Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside federal constituency.

He said “the entire youths and students in Ijebu land are not surprised of the overwhelming victory as recorded by Barr Olufemi Ogunbanwo, fondly called Omo Iwa. It was a victory packaged to reward his selflessness and love for the downtrodden. We have that assurance that Barr Ogunbanwo will use his wealth of experience as a versatile lawyer to facilitate great development to the federal constituency”.

He lauded the youths and students across Ijebu land for not only conducting themselves peacefully during last Saturday polls but for also trooping out enmass to vote for the APC candidates urging them to replicate same gesture on Saturday, March 11 for Gov Dapo Abiodun.

Oyenuga said “Gov Dapo Abiodun has no doubt done a lot in infrastructural development, education, health, agriculture, housing, security, youth and women empowerment among others and he should be supported to continue the good work for another term of four years”.
