2023: I’ll bring development to all sectors of Nigeria economy — Tinubu

…Says no more workers salary arrears in Benue

By Titus Atondu, Makurdi

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promised to use his wealth of experience to bring development in all sectors of the country’s economy if elected president in the forthcoming election.

Tinubu also assured the states that are suffering of non- payment of salary and salary arrears, Benue State inclusive, that there shall be no more workers non payment of salaries as well as salary arrears experienced under his watch as the president of Nigeria.

Tinubu made the promise while addressing the mammoth APC crowd during his presidential campaign rally at Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi the capital of Benue State, explaining that he has done it before while he was the Governor of Lagos State and a Senator  at the National Assembly.

He assured of empowering the youths of Nigeria by establishing a loan scheme that every Nigerian youth can access even as a student.

The APC Presidential Candidate urged Benue people to vote for all the candidates of APC in the forthcoming general elections for more flow of dividends of democracy to their state.

He further said that no matter how short his vice, Shettima and the Director General of his campaign, Lalong appear, they must see the sky.

Earlier, the Director General Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Organisation, Simon Lalong described the APC Presidential Candidate as an experienced politician full of development ideas that can transform Nigeria.

“Tinubu was the architect behind the victory of the APC Governorship election in 2015 in Benue where someone stole APC governorship mandate and structured into PDP.

“Now he is here again, we must recover our mandate in 2023,” Lalong stressed.

Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs and the leader of APC in Benue State, Senator George Akume told Benue people that the APC Presidential Candidate, Tinubu and his vice, Shettima are the right people to be voted as President and Vice to restore the lost glory of Nigeria.

Akume explained that Tinubu had done it while he served Lagos State as the Governor and as a Senator.

He further explained that Tinubu’s running mate Shettima also did the same in Borno State when he was the Governor. He rebuilt 90 per cent of the Christian churches that were destroyed by Boko Haram in Borno State when he was the Governor of the state, even though he was not a Christian and this shows clearly that he has leadership qualities devoid of sentiments and should be given the mandate to transform Nigeria in the forthcoming election.

On his part, the APC Benue State governorship candidate, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia described Tinubu and Shettima as genuine leaders with the experience to fix Nigeria.

Alia told Benue people not to waste their vote on any other party in the forthcoming election but vote massively for the victory of APC from top to bottom.

He further stated that Benue State is in a deplorable state and that it’s only APC victory that can proffer permanent solution to the problem.
